One of the leading UK Attractions, Stonehenge is shrouded in mystery, it is an amazing feat of engineering and is defined as one of the most important pre-historic site in England. Stonehenge is not only highly significant in terms of archaeology, it is also believed to have a astronomical role and is also a place of significant spiritual importance. It will always be clouded in mystery and early legends link Stonehenge with Merlin and King Arthur, but more recently in the last hundred years the midsummer sunrise has brought with it pagan groups and followers of the Ancient Order of Druids.
The tour will finish back outside of London Victoria Train Station, this gives you easy access to National Rail and Underground trains enabling you to get to where you need to be in the evening. Our trip was Windsor Castle - Stonehenge - Bath. Just a little too hectic at Windsor Castle but altogether very good. Highly recommended.
The tour was exactly as promised, informative, pleasant, on time, and the whole on-line purchase process was equally satisfactory.
A good day seeing some great sights of the UK, would have liked to have spent more time in Windsor but went back a few days later to make up for it. Worthwhile way of seeing these places in a day.
Great tour guide who provided quirky and informative stuff about our trip to Windsor Castle,Stonehenge and Bath. Timings were on schedule too. :)
We arrived at Victoria Coach Station where we met Tim (our driver) and James (our guide) for our tour to Windsor Castle, Bath & Stonehenge. We were expecting the day to be quite tiring by the end, however, we were pleasantly suprised as it turned out to be quite energising and inspiring! Our guide James was full of interesting facts and his knowldge and passion for England came across brightly and it was quite the history lesson. We felt well looked after and informed on how to best spend our time at each destination, including how to plan food while not missing the changing of the guard at Windsor Castle. Our driver Tim was also extremely pleasant, punctual and helped us with directions when we were back in London. A wonderful days adventure with wonderful people, thank you!
We had a brilliant family trip seeing Windsor Castle the Roman Baths and of course Stonehenge! I went with my Mom and Sister and we all loved it. The tour takes in 3 of the best things to see in a short space of time and be warned there is a bit of walking involved! But it was ideal for us. It was simple with all the tickets included in the price we paid, which meant no suprises!!! The tour guide knew his stuff, and made the trip entertaining and not boring thats for sure! My sister usually doesnt travel well in cars or buses, but the driver was super and the journey smooth!
